New Year's Eve was mellow. Small group of friends and family and no drama. I prefer to take it easy on amateur night. Spent the weekend exploring neighborhoods and contending with crazy weather. Icy winds, torrential rain, and a return trip that involved circumventing the closed Grapevine and getting stuck in an epic gridlock south of Santa Barbara on the 101. The sunset was unbelieveable. Auditions picking up slowly but surely. Starting to master a batch of songs.
