They feel seen and understood in a way that gives them the courage to 'lean in' to their work in a way that I haven’t seen with other teachers.
"Eli has done a great job connecting with both of my sons. He has a way of demonstrating that he’s on their side with a balanced mixture of humor, compassion and challenge. They feel seen and understood in a way that gives them the courage to 'lean in' to their work in a way that I haven’t seen with other teachers.

There’s less anxiety, resistance and stigma around their learning differences. When I hear the boys exclaiming, “Ah-ha!”, when having a realization during a session or saying, “So much better”, when asked if they understand something after an explanation, I know they’re in good hands."   - Sam F.

Eli's calm and engaging style got her to relax and willingly ask for help.
"Eli is a skilled, kind, and resourceful teacher. He makes learning fun and challenging. He helped my daughter with executive functioning, empowering her to get organized and make plans for college. She was reluctant at first, but Eli's calm and engaging style got her to relax and willingly ask for help. After just a few sessions, I learned more about her plans than I had over the past several years.

I've also worked with him to improve my effectiveness at work. I had anxiety with public speaking; Eli's humor allowed me to relax and gain confidence. He also took the time to learn about me as a person, catering to my individual needs and personality. I am a much better and more confident public speaker because of his coaching.

With everything he has to offer, the one thing I remembered the most is his integrity. When my daughter needed help with high school Chemistry, he referred me to another tutor he thought would be a better resource, showing me that he places the students’ and parents’ interests above his. I so appreciate his teaching and kindness."   - Jonathan H.

...improved organizational and writing process, increasing his GPA and preparing him for honors classes...
"Eli Kramer’s executive function coaching of my twice exceptional '2E' son over the course of ninth and tenth grade facilitated improved organizational and writing process, increasing his GPA and preparing him for honors classes in his junior year.

Even as a ninth grader, my son placed high value on the time with Eli and prioritized it among his other activities, requesting additional sessions when needed. Eli’s weekly coaching provides a calm, consistent structure and develops techniques to organize and succeed with college prep academics."   - Juli G.

He didn't respond to tutors...Eli was able to reach him...
"Our 16-year-old son’s academic performance had steeply declined since his freshman and sophomore years of high school. By senior year, we had become exhausted from constantly badgering and bullying him to complete his assignments. He didn’t respond to tutors, either. School had a become a persistent reminder to our son of how he was failing. He was giving up and we could not help him.

Eli was able to reach him, make him understand that tackling the work would make him feel better about himself, and help him get back in the game. Our son, who has graduated now, still considers Eli his favorite 'teacher' ever. I highly recommend him."   - Todd M.

...my son considers Eli a friend and trusted confidante...
"For years before meeting Eli, I hit the snooze button on getting my son help. I simply thought he would 'outgrow' his procrastination, disorganization, absent mindedness and general lack of enthusiasm around school work. He was clearly smart, and did well when he applied himself. But as he stepped up the ladder towards high school, the work got harder, the projects required more planning and the stakes increased. He was falling behind and had no scaffolding, habits or tools to support him.

Working together, often twice per week, my son and Eli have built a highly productive system. My son is empowered to take control of his work by breaking it down into milestones, realistically planning his time to complete all assignments and stay on top of his workload. Eli has taught him techniques for studying, note taking & annotation, drafting, and problem solving.

These are skills my son will use for the rest of his life that they don’t teach in school. Equally as important, my son considers Eli a friend and trusted confidante who understands the way his brain works and motivates him in ways that are positive and fun."   - J.B.

...helped her with the messy business of organization, guided her to find more enthusiasm and clarity in her writing...
"A few weeks into 6th grade, it was clear our daughter needed some support around executive functioning. Though bright and engaging, she was having difficulty staying organized and maintaining attention through to completing assignments. I think she was also just a bit bored by school. Her learning specialist recommended Eli.

Beginning in-person and transitioning to remote learning, he has helped her with the messy business of organization, guided her to find more enthusiasm and clarity in her writing, and even given her useful feedback about piano practice strategies. His careful patience has been of such great value. This year, she feels confident to begin without Eli’s help. We’re glad to know we have him to call on and are happy to recommend him to others."   - S.P.
